A day in Garachico
Garachico is a little town on the north coast of Tenerife, it has to be one of may favourite places I have visited on the island with the beautiful un-touched nature and Spanish heritage everywhere. It made me felt like I was in the 'real' Tenerife where not everyone spoke English and nothing was modernised.
I wanted to visit the town after hearing about the rock pools, and wow they were amazing!! There isn't one beach in sight but the natural rock pools have been given ladders and a lifeguard and made into swimming areas. I just loved jumping into the sea, swimming around seeing the fish and standing on the rocks in the beautiful ocean.
We also went for a tapas type lunch while looking out at the beautiful views eating the most amazing fresh ingredients!
The streets in Garachico are small and cobbled with little houses made into shops selling the most unique treasures, next to family run restaurants and churches. The town had a really happy vibe, making you feel a million miles away from home and any stressful situations. Everyone was so lovely both residents and tourists and is somewhere I definitely hope to visit again someday soon.
Here are a few pictures I took capturing the best moments in the beautiful town.
