Greece 2018- Mykonos and Santorini

Hi Guys!!

I wanted to share my recent holiday with you all. Me and my boyfriend Ant went to Greece for 1 week! We spent 3 nights in Mykonos and 4 nights in Santorini.

I have put a description of each individual day below but just scroll down for the photos!!

25th April-

Today was flight day! We were up very early and left the house with our luggage and made our way to London Gatwick at 3am!

We checked in and got sorted before going through to departures and grabbing breakfast at Jamie Olivers (pancakes of course!!)

When it was time we jumped on our flight to Mykonos!

We landed at the smallest airport ever! (we were literally the only plane there!) and we got our luggage and found our taxi transfer which took us to our hotel!

We stayed at Pietra E Mare Mykonos and it was absolutely beautiful! When we arrived we had welcome drinks and was shown around before being taken to our room, which was breath-taking! I was so excited but it was just amazing with the most beautiful view!

We got settled in and spent a couple of hours at the pool before going on a walk around! We soon realised there wasn't a lot near our hotel but it was so picturesque! We managed to find a supermarket and bakery and grabbed some snacks for the next few days! When we got back we got changed and and a yummy dinner in the hotel and went to bed as we were both shattered from the early morning and flight!

26th April-

Today we got up for breakfast with an amazing view and then got a taxi to Mykonos town!

We spent the day roaming around and taking it all in! It was so pretty and I wish I could go back! We loved the shops in all the lanes but did get lost a lot! And seeing the windmills was amazing!

We got frozen yoghurt and also spent a lot of the day on the beach and taking photos and we even got to see one of the famous Mykonos pelicans!

We ate a delicious meal there in the evening with another great view and then got a spot to watch the sunset after before grabbing a couple of cocktails and then making our way back to the hotel and grabbing another cocktail to enjoy whilst swinging in a hammock!

27th April-

This morning we set an alarm to be able to wake up for the sunrise! and it was definitely worth it, everything was so quiet and peaceful but it was just beautiful! We took photos before going back to bed for a couple of hours! When we got up properly we went to breakfast and then had a chill day spending half of it at the pool and the other half at the beach. In the evening we got ready and spent our last night at the restaurant in the hotel as we enjoyed the food and view so much the time before! We packed up all our stuff and got ready for the next day to go to Mykonos!

28th April-

Today we got up and ready packed the rest of our things and said goodbye to our beautiful hotel room before eating breakfast and checking out! We got our transfer car to the boat port and waited until we boarded our ferry and headed for Santorini!

Once we got to Santorini we got another car transfer that took us to our hotel.

This hotel was the Imperial Mediterranean and again was amazing and beautiful!

Once we checked in and settled in our room we went and got a club sandwich each at the hotel restaurant and wow it was amazing!

We spent the rest of the day exploring the hotel, walking down to the beach and chilling by the pool.

29th April-

Today after breakfast we got a transfer to the main town of Fira and then a bus to Oia and wow it was beautiful and so surreal as it looked just like all of the photos you see online!

There were white and blue buildings everywhere looking over the blue glistening sea!

We spent the day taking photos and exploring, going into cute shops and stopping in cafes for eating snacks infront of the beautiful picturesque view! We even saw then donkeys walking from the bottom to the top!

We ate dinner there and watched the sun set a little before heading back to our hotel

30th April-

Today after breakfast we decided to go to Fira and look around, we spent the morning doing just that, shopping, eating and sightseeing before heading back and spending the rest of the day and afternoon by the pool drinking cocktails and topping up the tan!

1st May-

Today we had an early breakfast and jumped on a bus that picked us up and took us to the docks, we had booked a island hop boat experience!

We started by setting off from Santorini and heading to the island Nea Kameni which is a volcano! We walked around and to the top looking at the craters and back over at Santorini before getting back on the boat to Palia Kameni! Here we jumped from the boat and into the sea to swim to the hot springs! The experience was unforgettable!
After getting on the boat after our swim we made our way to Thirasia, this is island way so lovely and tiny we had lunch and the walked around the gift shop, then got an ice cream before heading back on board for the last time!
We chose the option for the boat to drop us back at Oia and then get a bus back to hotel from there after the sunset! But first we had to walk up the 280 steps or we could get a donkey! We decided to walk and even though it fell like quite the work out it was worth it for the spectacular views!
Im so happy we got to see Oia again, to explore and watch the Santorini sunset one last time.

2nd May-
Today was home time! We woke up and packed up the last of our things before having breakfast and then went to the airport to fly home.
